Last Year, This Year

Last year, I wanted to learn how to make cupcakes so I decided I would make a new cupcake every month... which really meant that I made my favorites quite a bit and I hurried in December and made three different kinds;) Here is a list of the kinds I made:

• Chocolate Bliss


• Oreo cheesecake


• Banana


• Citrus


• Strawberry


• Pink Lemonade


• Rootbeer


• Carrot


• Caramel Apple


• Pumpkin


• Vanilla Peppermint


• Gingerbread


• German Chocolate

Then I asked the guys in the family what was there favorite. Rootbeer, Pink Lemonade, and chocolate were at the top. Eric added that he also liked vanilla peppermint and German chocolate, but that the Rootbeer cupcakes were his favorite. I actually didn't really like the Rootbeer, but laughed when all the boys voted on that one. Well, friends, you will be thrilled because the rootbeer ones only need some rootbeer and a white cake. By far the easiest one to make. Most sugar award belongs to Caramel Apple. I actually really enjoyed Chocolate Chip Pumpkin with Maple frosting. Anyway, that was last year.

This year I am going to be cooking a lot of chicken in search of favorite chicken recipes. It may sound crazy but over the holidays (perhaps in the rush) I overcooked the chicken and decided no more distractions and no more dry chicken. You will be happy to know that there has been success. (uh and 2 recipes that were failures, but let's focus on the positive) I posted the one that was success. Sorry boys that you had to eat that three times this month, but I had to make sure. Pass along your favorite chicken recipes then my search won't take so long:)

Oh yeah, this year I am trying to post the recipes. Some still coming, but I did post 3.

PS the beautiful cupcakes in the lower right corner were a gift from Eric made by Jackie who I am still trying to get to come over and show me how to make those. Are you kidding me? WOW!
