Trevor

Today I was just remembering what it was like when Trevor was running around with endless energy.  He was everywhere and into everything.  He didn't like to go to bed because he wasn't tired (of course not).  Let me just say that he was adorable. It has been such an enjoyable ride watching him grow up.
Happy Birthday Trevor!

2nd Annual Zucchini Boat Race

My friend Steff gave me this super fun idea and I am going to pass it along.  Get those gigantic zucchinis out of your garden that no one is going to eat, cut them in half, and get rid of the seeds.  Boats ready.  We go down to the river bottoms and let the race begin.  We let our boats go on the business side part because you can run along side the river and at some points there are gates that the zucchini get stopped at.  You can see which person's zucchini won and then start again.  Last year was so much fun.  This year was fun too except in my leaning over to put my boat in my purse fell into the river. Super cool way to start the race.  Um, I didn't win either. Save an evening and go try it. Not the purse falling in thing just the boat race.

looking back

It is hard to believe that this is the second week of school for Trey.  I am going to have to be pretty clever to busy myself enough not to miss him.  It isn't working out quite yet.  Looking back on the summer with my family though I am happy for all the times (happy and less than ideal) that we got to spend together.

We had birthdays

we had sleepovers while our floors were being redone

We had lots of campouts, meetings, late nights, movies, smores, pizza, chips and salsa, parties, baseball, trips to WYO, Montana, and Las Vegas and so much more...it all adds up to a pretty great summer!
