Okay, this is when he was learning how to wave. Although taken 2 months ago, I know my mom wanted to see it again. Of course she does, he is so cute. What is a mom to say?

Last Lecture

Enjoyed the last lecture. I read it and watched it. I appreciated his tributes, his life stories, his service to others, his "Tigger" attitude, the feedback loop, his "brick walls" idea, and his love & gratitude to his wife and children. Here is the "I drew on my walls and also used glue" photos.

What a week! It was Kelsey's birthday, National Popcorn Day, Civil Rights Day, Obama's inauguration, sick days for Trev, Eric's flat tire, drive to Vegas, Mercados restaurant, Baby Shower, drive back to Utah, Eric's ward conference, and mega snow to celebrate Andrea's birthday. It was a fun week even though so busy.

Tyler turned 4 1/2 last week. Here are some of the conversations with him this last week.

To Trevor "I'm hilarious. Are you hilarious Trevor?"

To me "Mom, everyone gets married even cats. You got married to Tyler Allen's dad." (They have two Tylers in preschool)

Picking up Trevor from school Tyler found my sunglasses and the rock version of 12 days of Christmas was on..."I am a rock star"
(Yes, I still have the Christmas cd's in)

After Friday preschool "Miss Angie got the time out chair for me."
"What were you doing?"
"Nothing. It was boring. Sophie is always good. I got good and put my smock on and colored"

Where is my car?

I posted the photo from last weeks snowfall becuase when my sister was visiting she asked "how is that car down the street going to get out of here?" I mentioned that she should have seen the car last week. Look at the photo again... right in front of the lamppost is a car. Maybe if you squint you can see it. Maybe if you squint you really can't see it because it is covered in snow. Oh yeah, thanks to all my neighbors, husband, & friends for the shoveling help.

A New Year

Happy New Year!! We had great fun with our friends the Richards. It was the kind of celebration you would expect... good food (awesome baked french toast and a queso dip from the Richards), good conversation, playing with toys, and rocking out to Rock Band. Bet you didn't know you have rockers living nearby. A special shout out to Todd and Kelsey for introducing us to Guitar Hero, to Amy and Fritz for letting us borrow their guitars over Christmas, and Mimi & Bobba for enduring the practice sessions. During their visit, Andrea and Luke handled the drums. Even the Murrays (Keith and Justin) were able to have the experience when they came the next day. Although quite new to this, we felt the need to go and get two more guitars. Now no more visitors have to wait their turn to rock out!

Today ends our Christmas holiday break. I am thrilled that it was filled with so many great memories. I am excited for what the new year will bring.
