A Christmas Thank You

You will notice many posts for December. I got a little behind (understatement) However, my sister-in-law Andrea designed my blog header over the Thanksgiving holiday and I was inspired to try again. She really is so talented. I love the colors and especially the bird. Recipes and more good reads to come. Thanks again Andrea!

Christmas music

Don't you think the music adds to the beauty of the season? I have several favorites. I enjoy Sleigh Ride, Let it snow, It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, Ave Maria, and Joy to the World. Trevor likes all the old school even the Linus and Lucy song from Peanuts. Tyler likes to rock out to the 12 Days of Christmas by Relient K. Who are they? I don't know but that song is pretty funny. Trey walks around saying ho, ho, ho or ha, ha, ha. Either way is adorable to me.

December

I am thankful for motrin and 7up. Tyler and Trey got the flu on my birthday and it lasted the whole first week of December. I am thankful that it is gone.

November

At the first of the month I tried a "Martha" project. (turkey place cards) Almost successful. Tyler made 2 turkeys, I made 1, and while Trevor was finishing his second one my hand got burned on a drip of hot glue. Not fun. However, meeting my mom, Amy, Kelsey, Storm, and Andrea for a girls weekend was great. It was wonderful to be together just too short. Our little Trey turned 2 and his party was extra special with all the visitors.( The girls plus Todd, my dad, Grammy&Grandpa) Home for Thanksgiving. I love being at home...the food, the weather, the time together, and seeing the gang play Beatles Rock Band. Thanks for the celebration on Friday night too. I loved the donut cake. Thanks for remembering my birthday. I am a lucky girl and have much to be grateful for.

October

October found us on a trip to St. George with part of the Nelson family. Trevor decorated his own room all spooky since our home just wasn't scary enough. The Jensens gave us a huge pumpkin since all that grew in our garden this year were the minis. Decorations for our spooky dinner complements of Trevor's school projects. The boys did the Star Wars thing (along with Daniel Nelson) Memory fade moment. I think my parents came for a visit. Plus, we had a great visit from Amy and were spoiled by the Halloween packages sent from our parents. I can't really wish you a Happy Halloween since it was two months ago...

September

Fall is Trevor's favorite season. It is the season of his birthday, Halloween, and eating turkey. September was filled with Trevor's birthday party, John Schmidt concert, BYU football games, having the missionaries over for dinner, and fun visits from family. Since I have been playing go down memory lane, I realized how easy it is to forget things like people's birhtdays. OOPS. Guess there is always next year. The wonderful thing about trying to recall details is that it becomes obvious how great life is. Let me add that the weather has been gorgeous and that is something I enjoy about the fall.

August

We have been married for 10 years...10 L O N G years as Eric joked. He surprised me by arranging a cousins sleepover at Uncle Carson and Aunt Ashley's home while we escaped up to the cabin. We returned home and Eric went to work, I finished up the summer preschool by going to the dinosaur museum, and the boys got ready to return to school. Our stake celebrated it's 80th birthday with a country fair. We also had a Country Woods Reunion which was a reunion indeed. Great ending to our summer.

July

July seems to be one of the busiest months. This year was no exception. We went to Vegas for Dad's surprise birthday party. So fun! We then drove to Montana for Eric's family reunion. We celebrated Jaxon, Tyler, Ryan's, and Grammy's birthdays. A happy birthday shout to my sister! (At least I got to see near her birthday) The reunion was packed with all kinds of activities with that many birthdays to celebrate. Plus, we had a surprise Happy Anniversary party for Eric's parents too. We returned to enjoy the 24th of July at the neighborhood party. I was in Vegas celebrating the life of my cousin Derrick who had passed away unexpectedly. Good to be with family. I flew back and didn't get to stay for Miss Elliets birthday. My parents came up at the end of the month and we went to the temple open house. Happy July.

June

The summer started. Yippee! Trev went to baseball, piano, scouts, swim lessons and library days. On all the other days, he was with friends. Tyler and Trey happily played outside or tagged along with Trevor's gang. We had more family visits (which we love). We celebrated Eric's birthday and Father's Day. He is an awesom dad and husband.

May

May was filled with the fun of my brother's birthdays, Travis and Lisa's birthday, Mother's Day, the beginning of the baseball season, the end of Tyler's preschool days, Tyler's swim classes, and Trev's class water party (boys only).

April

April had Mom's birthday along with the twins and Parker all celebrating on April 8.(along with Jeff's a couple days before) Off to Hawaii leaving the spring break snowstorm at home. Being in Hawaii was extraordinary!

March

Storm was born at the beginning of March.
The boys love the snow.
However, no snow on St Patricks Day. Tyler's favorite color is green so he did not get pinched.
