Gone

After the many many months of talking about cutting my hair, I did it! It is gone.  Good-bye. Farewell. Yippee!

The Food Nanny

I was so excited to go that I just jumped in the car with my good friend and left.  No money, no camera, and no pen and paper. The Food Nanny (Liz Edmunds) spoke to us for over an hour. She is cuter in person than even on the show.  She has tons of energy and passion about the importance of family dinnertime. Her voice does not sound like it often does on the show either. (that comment is mostly for my husband)  She talked about living in New York where the idea of menu planning came about.  She talked about her successes and how she had to learn how to cook things she never had before.  She talked about her children and the tradition she made of being together for dinnertime.  She explained how the idea of her book came about the people who helped her along the way.  She made pizza dough and French baguettes. I enjoyed the whole evening.  I went up to me her and she gave me a couple tips for picky eaters and then told me where to go and find more ideas.  I was telling my friend when she picked me up that I was going to try a better attitude and more positive comments with a certain child I love.  Last night he said to me "I am being such a good eater, huh?"  I love her concept and it is exactly what I use to organize my menu so yes, I am a Food Nanny fan.

Beauty and the Beast

Well, after 2 months of rehearsals the moment finally arrived.  My mom stayed with us so she could with us to see Trevor in Beauty and the Beast on opening night.  He had little parts in every scene of the show.  Plus, he is in the beginning speaking to Belle as the bookseller.  I was so excited to see the play and watch him perform with all of his friends.  He can be shy sometimes and so when he came to me the night before and said he wanted to try out I was a bit surprised.  This was such an awesome experience for him.  Fun for the whole audience too.  Our family went to every show.  One night Tyler was ready at 6:00 and he said come on we don't want to be late for the show (that starts at 7). Way to go Trevor!

First part of March

We were excited about seeing my parents and Storm for her birthday.  A party is always something fun to look forward to.  The party was at Jump on It.  My favorite comment was"this party made me sweaty".  Great to see Todd and Kelsey, Storm, friends, family, and to see the girlies growing up.  Soon they will have their birthday party.  We gave Storm a little picture book of her birthdays with us.  It is good to have cousins to share birthdays with.  Happy Birthday!
