On Friday, I gave Ty Ty the "you are growing up" talk and so you can sleep in your own bed all night. I continued on to explain that summer time was when he would be turning six. On the way up the stairs to bed he said "Mom, when I turn six I am going to sleep in my bed all night"...then after a few steps turned and said "or maybe 7"
On my calendar this month it says No day is so bad that it can't be fixed with a nap. Really? Fantastic. Saturday, I tried to take a nap, only to almost get in the zone, when I heard
Mom (cry cry cry) Mom (cry cry cry)
What is the matter Tyler?
Mom, you didn't take me to school and now I have missed it! (cry cry cry)
I then told him it was Saturday his free day.... (insta-no-crying) Oh, can I play with a friend?
Okay, on to the little miracle of this day. Trey didn't want to sit in the back and wait for his brothers to get out of school. No big deal. I unbuckled him from his seat and sat him in the passenger seat to wait it out. I walk around the van only to discover in that brief moment he has locked the door. He doesn't know. He is laughing and being cute. I am trying to get him to push the button again but he is just giving me a high five on the glass window. So I figure I will wait for the boys and then run into the school and get help. I notice him trying to push the button but he keeps pushing the lock side. I see the boys and can't wait to go get help. Right then Trey opens the door. Phew. AAAAHHHH. Everyone needs little miracles don't they? Thankful for mine today.
After I talked to my mom on the phone, I realized that I didn't mention that the van was RUNNING!
